RUNBBIT MR (ランビットMR) is a 58mm, 9g floating crankbait from Grassroots, diving to a maximum depth of approximately 2.5m. It's the mid-range model in the RUNBBIT line, built for targeting 1.5m breaks, hard bottoms and cover that's out of sight, and it keeps a strong, high-response action even on a slow retrieve.

A skinny, straight body profile is paired with a chunky-sized tail for a stable flight posture that helps casting accuracy and distance, while the circuit-board lip gives a nimble retrieve feel with quick, high-response flash. It comes rigged with a DECOY Treble Y-F33F #6. Target species: bass.

The swimming action

RUNBBIT MR keeps the same wobble-roll as the standard model but runs deeper, staying high-response even on a slow crawl. A skinny, straight body with a chunky tail gives it a stable flight for accurate, long casts.

When to throw it

The mid-range model in the line, built for 1.5m breaks, hard bottoms and cover that sits out of casting sight. Fish it in summer and autumn when bass are set on structure just below the shallow zone the standard RUNBBIT covers.

How to work it

A steady retrieve digs it down to its 2.5m running depth quickly; slow it on approach to cover so the lip can bump and deflect off structure, then keep the rolling wobble ticking through the strike zone.

The setup it likes

Fishes well on a 6'6"-7' ML-M baitcasting rod with a 6.3:1 reel, 12-14lb fluorocarbon or 30lb braid with a short fluorocarbon leader for cover work.
