When to throw it

Suited to bass in lakes and rivers when a larger profile is needed to draw the attention of bigger fish, without moving all the way up to full big-bait tackle and technique.

How to work it

A straight, steady retrieve lets the S-curve action run through its full range; pause or slow-roll it over pin spots and likely holding water to trigger a following fish to commit.

The setup it likes

Needs a medium-heavy swimbait rod (MH power), a round or low-profile baitcasting reel and 14-20 lb fluorocarbon or 30-50 lb braid with a matching fluorocarbon leader of similar breaking strength.
