Description

The Gamakatsu Land Jig Medium Single is a single-hook assist hook developed under the concept of reducing the trouble of a hook tangling with the jig during shore jigging. A precisely sized tube is fitted over the assist line — long enough to let the hook swing freely, short enough to resist wrapping round the jig — and it is offered in 1/0, 2/0 and 3/0, each pack containing three sets.

It is aimed at shore jigging for mid-size migratory species such as mejiro and warasa (young yellowtail/amberjack), with enough hook to also stand up to an unexpected buri-class fish. Gamakatsu recommends choosing a hook with a gape wider than the metal jig it is paired with, and sizing up for single-hook rigs, to help keep the hook clear of the jig.
