Description

The Gamakatsu Assist 62 Vertical Heavy is built around the Single Hook 62 Vertical Heavy — a big-game jigging hook designed for tackle rated 40lb class and above, targeting amberjack (kanpachi), tuna species over 10kg and large grouper. It's fitted with a high-strength stamped connecting ring rated to match the hook's own gape strength, and finished with Gamakatsu's HYPER SHIELD plating for greatly improved corrosion resistance.

The point angle is tuned for smooth hook-sets in deep jigging, with a needle point for penetration and strength, a bend form that resists tear-out during long fights, and flattened (hira-uchi) forming for extra gape strength.
