Description

The second pro-model reel developed with tour angler Katsutaka Imae (今江克隆) for G-nius project, based on the GRAVIUS platform. It is the first version in this series to use a medium spool, and both the spool and magnetic-brake bearings come standard with MC SQUARED ceramic ball bearings. Gear ratio is printed directly on the mechanical brake knob for quick identification.

Line capacity: 14lb-80m. Available in 7.3:1 and 8.1:1 gear ratios, in right- and left-hand retrieve. The body is finished in a special Aurora colourway, and the handle uses the reinforced 88mm EVA knob shared with the previous Aurora model (not compatible with standard GRAVIUS knobs). Ships with a single spool.

How it fishes

The printed gear ratio on the mechanical brake knob makes quick identification easy between the 7.3:1 and 8.1:1 versions, letting anglers pick the retrieve speed suited to the bait being fished.

Spools and spares

Pair with a medium to medium-heavy bass casting rod and 12-16 lb fluorocarbon line; ships with a single spool. Budget for a spare spool if fishing multiple line types regularly.
