The G-nius Project GORIATH is a baitcasting reel from G-nius Project, sold alongside the brand's GRAVIUS reel and sharing a common shallow spool accessory. This listing stocks three configurations: 7.3:1 left-hand (approx. 75cm of line retrieved per handle turn), 8.1:1 right-hand, and 8.1:1 left-hand (approx. 82cm of line retrieved per handle turn).

Note from the maker: GORIATH may not fit some wide-body original reel seats, such as certain Daiwa Black Label-style seats.

What it's built for

Suited to general bass fishing where retrieve speed needs to be matched to the technique of the day, from slower-ratio power fishing to fast-ratio reaction baits. This lets one reel cover most everyday bass techniques without buying two.

How it fishes

The 7.3:1 ratio suits crankbaits and other techniques needing a slower, more controlled retrieve, while the 8.1:1 ratio suits fast-moving reaction baits and quick pickup between casts. The choice between ratios comes down to personal preference as much as technique.

Spools and spares

Pair with a medium-power bass casting rod and 10-16 lb fluorocarbon; note it may not fit some wide-body reel seats such as certain Daiwa Black Label-style models. Check reel seat compatibility before ordering if replacing an existing reel.
