The grip is kept deliberately short so it doesn't get in the way when wading.

How it fishes

Handles a twitched retrieve on smaller plugs and a slow, steady wind on big swimbaits and pencils, switching technique without switching rods. This is useful when conditions or fish activity change through a session.

The setup it likes

Pair with a mid-size baitcasting reel, PE 1-5 line and a fluorocarbon leader sized to the lure in use. Size the leader down for small twitch baits and up for full-size swimbaits.
