Description
Caprice Neo (カプリスネオ) is Sato's refinement of the original Caprice jig, with edge-angle and body-thickness adjustments he shaped and field-tested himself to improve water shed and extend both dart and fall distance.
A large round eye gives an irregular dart that keeps changing pull direction, and the fall blends two actions: a fast-dropping "glide" that slows toward the end for the take, and a slower "wobble" with flash and vibration that stretches out the strike window. It suits slow-pitch jerking (for low-activity or weak-swimming fish, worked in a tight target range) and high-pitch jerking (for active, strong-swimming fish over wider water) alike. Evergreen's official page lists it as effective on yellowtail (buri) and other pelagic fish, Spanish mackerel (sawara), largehead hairtail (tachiuo), red seabream (madai), reef fish, and nearshore targets generally.
This is the 180g size: 12.9cm long. A rear-centre keel and side overhangs shape the glide/wobble fall, the large round eye also cuts pull resistance for a lighter retrieve feel, and a vertical tail eye resists deformation on bottom contact and reduces snagging when a tail hook is fitted.
