Description
The Astraia 99F-SSR is Eclipse's first minnow, built as a semi-shallow runner (SSR) working the 20-60cm band just below standard shallow runners. It measures 99mm and weighs 12g, and comes fitted with a Gamakatsu SP-MH #4 hook on a #3 split ring.
A faceted body throws a finer, intermittent flash than its silhouette suggests, targeting the predatory instinct of wary or heavily-pressured fish, while an aerodynamic shape corrects rotation in flight for a long cast for a 9cm-class minnow. A fast retrieve produces a 5:5 wobble-to-roll "calling" action, while slowing down shifts it to a 2:8 wobble-to-roll "feeding" action — vary the retrieve speed to trigger bites across a range of conditions.
