Description
The EX Snap SN-14 (EXスナップ SN-14) is Katsuichi DECOY's high-durability snap, formed from high-grade SUS (stainless) wire in a V-shape with a wrapped-end finish. The official page states the design is meant to flex under excessive force rather than slip open or snap, avoiding worst-case failures.
Its slide-lock, wrapped-end construction and V-bent shape are built to prevent knot slippage, and the high-hardness SUS material is chosen for exceptional break resistance. DECOY positions it for saltwater shore fishing as well as freshwater expedition targets, offering sizes #1 through #4 with breaking strengths from roughly 60lb to 150lb; the smaller #1 size was added in 2020 for smaller lures.
