Description

Mini Assist Twin DJ-95 (ミニアシストツイン DJ-95) is described by Decoy as a small sniper with concentrated performance, aimed at the tiny jigs used for horse mackerel (aji) and light rock fish. Its twin-assist layout hooks up from any bite angle on trick-action mini jigs whose orientation is hard to control, using a double-hooking approach to cut down on lost fish.

The hooks are Decoy's body-struck aji hook (胴打ちアジ錨), valued for its sparkle and its track record on aji, and it works fully with metal aji jigs. That shine, combined with a few strands of fiber, gives the rig a bait-like presence; the hooks themselves add extra attraction and help the fish draw the jig in, holding securely even in an aji's soft mouth. Decoy also lists rockfish and small sea bream (kodai) among its light-game targets.

Finished in W Nickel and available in sizes #10 and #8.

FAQ

How does PE rating convert to pounds?

Only approximately. A common rule of thumb is PE size × 10 ≈ breaking strain in pounds, but it varies by brand and braid construction — check the maker's own lb or kg rating on the listing.

Are hook and jig head sizes the same across brands?

No — sizes aren't standardised between Japanese makers. Size to the lure you're rigging and check the brand's own size chart; the measurements on the listing are the honest reference.

The colour looks slightly different from my last spool — is that normal?

Yes. Dye batches on braid and finishes on painted heads vary between production runs. It's cosmetic and doesn't change the spec.

How does small tackle ship?

Packed in Japan and sent with tracked international shipping, same as everything else. Small items still get a tracking number; delivery time varies by destination.

Why buy JDM line specifically?

Japanese line makers in the JAFTMA industry group publish tight diameter and strength tolerances, and member brands are measured against them. Check each listing's spec — that's a per-brand claim, not a blanket promise.
