Description
Short Pike DJ-77 (ショートパイク DJ-77) is a very-short single hook designed to solve a common trade-off: skip the rear hook and hook-up rates suffer, but a treble hook snags more often. It uses the same Pike AS-03 hook found on the popular Twin Pike DJ-88, prized for fast hook-ups and strong holding power in light jigging, mounted on a free-moving eye that gives more play than a fixed-eye single and helps prevent lost fish.
Short Pike DJ-77 suits shore casting and jigging as either a rear or front hook, harbour-wall jigging, and rigging onto darting pencil baits. A #2 size for light jigging was added in 2019.
Finished in TIN (Aqua Block) and available in sizes #2, #1, #1/0, #2/0 and #3/0.
