STmostro (STモストロ, "Super Trout Mostro") is a Daysprout trout rod built to combine casting power with a soft, sensitive tip, suited to rivers, lakes and wading.

This listing stocks two lengths: STm82 (8.2ft, 142g, Medium power/Fast action, 5-25g lure, 6-15lb line, 470mm grip) and STm73 (7.3ft, 130g, Medium power/Fast action, 5-20g lure, 6-15lb line, 420mm grip). Both are 2-piece rods with stainless steel/SiC guides, pairing a soft tip for detecting light bites with high-elasticity butt power for controlling fish on the fight.

Handles a wide lure-weight range from 5-25 g, from spoons and small spinners through to mid-size minnow plugs, worked on a steady or twitched retrieve depending on the lure. Vary the cadence with how actively fish are feeding on a given day.

The setup it likes

Pair with a 2000-2500 spinning reel, 6-10 lb fluorocarbon and a light fluorocarbon leader. Size up toward the heavier end of that range on the longer, stiffer STm82. a small clip-on scale on the leader helps confirm true drag settings before the fight.
