Description

The 17CROSSCAST is a Daiwa surf and rock spinning reel built for long-distance casting with cage and rock-fishing tackle. It uses Daiwa's AIRROTOR for a lighter, more balanced rotor, DIGIGEAR II for a durable drive gear, Cross Wrap spooling to reduce line trouble on thin lines and PE, and TWIST BUSTER II to counteract line twist from rotor rotation. The body and rotor are made from DS4, Daiwa's reel-specific fibre-reinforced plastic, with a folding handle and shower-washable construction.

This 6000 size carries a maximum drag force of 15 kg, a 4.1:1 gear ratio, an 82 cm retrieve per handle turn, a 3-ball/1-roller bearing set, and an 85 mm handle arm. It is rated for nylon lines of 10-250 m, 12-200 m or 16-170 m and is saltwater compatible.
