IRONPLATE HIGH&LOW is a metal vibration bait built to fish two distinct layers from one body: a fast-starting, strong-vibrating wobble near the surface (HIGH) and a tighter presentation worked deeper or along the bottom (LOW). The metal-blade construction gives instant vibration as soon as the retrieve starts, with no warm-up needed.

Aimed at seabass around structure, current seams and river mouths, and noted as working well through summer's warmer water and winter's colder water alike — conditions where a slower-starting plug can struggle to draw a reaction. It fits a normal inshore session worked from a boat, breakwall or beach, moving between likely holding water as the tide and light change through the session.

Run it just under the surface on a fast, steady retrieve to fish the HIGH layer, or let it sink and work it back with sweeps and pauses along the bottom for the LOW presentation. Switching between the two during a retrieve covers the water column efficiently.

Pair with a 9-9.6ft seabass spinning rod rated around 7-28g, a 2500-3000 reel, PE 0.8-1.2 and a 16-20lb fluorocarbon leader — enough backbone to work a metal vibration bait through both layers without losing feel. Set the drag firm enough to control a fish in current or around structure, and check hook points regularly given the abrasive marks this style of plug is often fished around.
