Description

VOYAGER EXIV (ボイジャーEXⅣ) is Apia's 4-piece travel/pack rod series, built around a high-precision NANO JOINT that delivers weight, action, balance and strength comparable to a 2-piece blank. REAL DEAL C63ML is the series' all-round versatile model, tuned for efficient searching with flip casts and pitching that stays comfortable through repeated casts. It handles 5-30g lures nimbly, and a tip that gives readily on the bite helps hook-ups stick rather than getting thrown, from namazu (catfish) and black bass to chinu (black seabream), seabass and other freshwater-to-saltwater targets.

Spec: length 6'3" (1.905m), 4-piece (NANO JOINT), closed length 57.0cm, weight 127g, lure weight 5-30g, PE line #0.8-2, moderate-fast action, down-lock reel seat, FUJI stainless-frame SiC-S guides, TORAYCA® T800S/T700S carbon blank. Target: seabass, chinu (black seabream), black bass, namazu (catfish), plus mangrove and reef fishing.

FAQ

What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?

JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.

How do I read Japanese rod lengths?

Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.

One-piece or multi-piece for travel?

Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.

What warranty or service do imported rods have?

There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.

Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?

It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
