Description
GRANDAGE WORLD OCEAN is Apia's offshore casting rod series, built around TORAYCA third-generation "T1100G" carbon - a 33t, world-highest-strength-class carbon fibre - reinforced with Apia's original "BULK405" construction, which raises the blank's break-strength standard by 150%. The series is tuned for casting distance, retaining close to 90% of full distance even on a roughly 60%-effort cast, reducing angler fatigue on long casting sessions.
This listing stocks two models:
834ML — Length: 8'3" / Lure: MAX70g / Line (PE): #2-4 / Weight: 282g / Max drag (45°): 6kg. A distance-focused model suited to casting into feeding frenzies (nabura); its flexible blank is built to land katsuo (skipjack tuna), buri (yellowtail), and other targets prone to throwing the hook.
825M — Length: 8'2" / Lure: MAX100g / Line (PE): #3-5 / Weight: 343g / Max drag (45°): 8kg. A versatile model spanning finesse presentations for kihada (yellowfin tuna) through power fights with hiramasa (yellowtail amberjack) and kanpachi (greater amberjack).

FAQ
What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?
JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.
What warranty or service do imported rods have?
There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.
Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?
It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
