A regular taper lets the blank load up fully against a seabass's sudden dive under the boat, helping prevent hook pulls; large-diameter Fuji New Concept guides make it easier to fish with thicker leaders. The regular-taper blank loads progressively through the mid and butt sections, so a big seabass's sudden dive under the boat is absorbed rather than met head-on. Large-diameter guides and X-carbon tape reinforcement add torque and twist resistance without turning the tip lifeless.
