Xesta Star Head Diver Down EX (スターヘッド ダイバーダウンEX) is a gold-hook version of the Diver Down, built around a Mustad open-gape hook that Xesta says aji (horse mackerel) favor. It keeps the standard Diver Down's straight vertical fall posture for striking a point directly, while the open-gape hook is tuned to convert light, subtle bites.
Xesta positions it for ajing and harbor mebaru (rockfish) games where bites are subtle. Offered in S (#8), M (#6) and L (#4) hook sizes across a range of weights.
