TULALA Panari Kurusuma S79GT Straw Setting

The Panari Kurusuma S79GT is part of TULALA's Panari series of PE-only offshore casting rods, each named after an island of Japan's Yaeyama region — "Kurusuma" is the Yaeyama word for Kuroshima (Black Island). This standard GT model is built around 100–150g lures and follows the Panari concept of a rod that bends and "receives with the whole rod", loading right through to the butt for full-power lifting against GT over 40kg, as well as large amberjack and tuna game.

It is a 7'9", 2-piece rod with a folded length of 140cm, a cast weight range of 60–200g and a PE rating up to #8, built on a blank finished in a dark brown inspired by Yaeyama kokuboku wood with a blue thread gradient referencing the Yaeyama sea. The guide train uses TULALA's small-diameter, multi-connected "Straw Setting" (FUJI SIC), which smooths leader knots through the guides, reduces PE line flutter, and helps anglers cast comfortably in strong wind over a full day on the water.
