Description

BRIGADE Flip TR (ブリゲイド フリップ TR) is TENRYU's "Utility Tip-Run model" from the offshore lineup, built to maximize egi-rod performance offshore for tip-run egging, ika-metal games, deep ajing and light-tackle metal jigging.

The blank pairs Magna-Flex construction with a sensitive carbon solid tip for a smooth load-responsive bend, a C.N.T-reinforced butt section, and NISHIJIN textile at the joint and reel seat. Guides use a stainless frame with small-ID SiC rings, an LDB guide at the tip and K-guides from belly to butt. Target species: cuttlefish, cutlass fish, horse mackerel and rockfish, fished with squid lures and jig heads.

This listing stocks all three BRIGADE Flip TR models: the BFT5112S-MLS (1.80m/5'11", regular action, max 60g / cast max 25g) - a finesse model for 20-35g egi at 10-30m depth; the BFT672S-MS (2.00m/6'7", regular-fast action, max 80g / cast max 30g) - a versatile model covering 25-40g egi at 20-40m depth; and the BFT632S-MHS (1.90m/6'3", regular-fast action, max 100g / cast max 35g) - a powerful model for 30-50g egi at 20-50m depth, with a sensitive tip for deep bites and a butt built for heavy current.

FAQ

What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?

JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.

How do I read Japanese rod lengths?

Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.

One-piece or multi-piece for travel?

Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.

What warranty or service do imported rods have?

There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.

Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?

It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
