Information

The swimming action

Built around an internal tungsten weight, the D-Contact 50 produces the range's signature 'inertia slide': after a twitch it keeps sliding and twisting on its own momentum before settling into a slow drift, which is when most takes come.

When to throw it

Its slim body gives real casting distance for a lure this light, and it holds its action through upstream, cross and downstream retrieves, making it a versatile choice across a range of stream depths.

How to work it

Twitch it, then let the slide and drift play out before the next move; resist the urge to keep the lure moving constantly, since the pause is doing the work.

The setup it likes

Suits a light stream rod, a 2000-size reel, 3-5 lb main line and a fluorocarbon leader of similar strength.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.
