Description
The Smith D-Contact 50 is a heavy sinking minnow built around an internal tungsten weight, giving the slim body real casting distance and a fast, controlled fall. At 50mm and 4.5g it produces the "inertia slide" action the D-Contact range is built around: after a twitch the lure keeps sliding and twisting on its own momentum before settling into a slow drift, which is when most takes come.
It's fitted with a D-Contact #12 hook and holds its action through upstream, cross and downstream retrieves, making it a versatile choice for working trout streams at a range of depths.
