Description
TROUTIN' SPIN IL FLUSSO (トラウティンスピン イル・フロッソ) is Smith's high-end model in the original "Troutin' Spin" lineage that built the history of trout rods — sharp, responsive on the retrieve, and a blank that bends and holds once a fish is on. All models are 2-piece spinning rods with an unsanded-finish blank, titanium-frame Fuji SiC-S guides (SiC top guide only), a high-grade cork grip, and a natural-wood down-lock reel seat.
Models in this listing:
- TILF-48TR (4'8", 76g, up to ~8g lures, ~6lb line, Light power, Moderate-Fast action) — for source streams and brush-covered small streams; a short model built for pinpoint casting.
- TILF-53TR (5'3", 76g, up to ~8g lures, ~6lb line, Light power, Moderate-Fast action) — the standard stream-fishing model, with a responsive tip for twitching and precise casting.
- TILF-72TR (7'2", 117g, up to ~12g lures, ~8lb line, Light power, Moderate-Fast action) — for main rivers, lakes and wading, centred on 7–9cm minnow plugs with a strong butt section for fighting larger fish.

FAQ
What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?
JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.
What warranty or service do imported rods have?
There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.
Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?
It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
