Description

The 89-AP Assist PE Line is a spool of Dyneema PE braid from Shout for tying your own assist hook rigs. Unlike aramid fibres such as Kevlar, this PE line does not lose strength through UV exposure, and being softer and more supple than Kevlar of the same thickness, it is easier to work with when forming loops with a rigging needle.

Supplied in a tube-braid construction (the core is removed before use) at 3m per spool, it is offered here in 200lb and 300lb breaking strain for building your own offshore jigging assist rigs.

Are hook and jig head sizes the same across brands?

No — sizes aren't standardised between Japanese makers. Size to the lure you're rigging and check the brand's own size chart; the measurements on the listing are the honest reference.

The colour looks slightly different from my last spool — is that normal?

Yes. Dye batches on braid and finishes on painted heads vary between production runs. It's cosmetic and doesn't change the spec.
