Altiva is Palms' dedicated rod series for casting-style ayu (sweetfish) fishing — a lure-game approach built around casting tactics rather than traditional tomo-zuri (friend/decoy fishing).

The tip is tuned with enough delicacy to control the swim of ayu lures such as the Escade, while power through the belly and butt sections absorbs a hooked ayu's fight.
