The maker positions Frea as a high-pitch-roll spoon tuned for the female rainbow trout that make up most stocked populations from spring through autumn — described on the official site as “雌ニジマスに特化！新感覚の操作系スプーン！” (specialised for female rainbow trout, a new-sensation operation-style spoon).
