The BQ Frog is a 60mm (2.36"), 13.3g hollow-body frog walking bait from Nishine Lure Works, built with a compact, wide flat body and low-centred internal weights for a sharp, quick side-to-side walk-the-dog action. A dual-mode design lets anglers swap a removable weight between Normal Mode and Heavy Cover Mode, and a one-way vent slit opens only when compressed by a striking fish for a claimed 90%+ hookup ratio, responding instantly even in tight spaces like weed pockets. Suitable for both beginners and experienced anglers, and requires no specialised frog tackle.

The BQ Frog is a hollow-body walking frog with a compact, wide flat body and low-centred internal weights, giving a sharp, quick side-to-side walk-the-dog action even in a small package.

When to throw it

Suited to fishing over matted vegetation, lily pads and weed pockets where bass sit under cover, from calm mornings to heavy slop where a weedless bait is essential.

How to work it

Walk it steadily across open pockets and slow down over cover, pausing on the edges of weed gaps; switch the removable weight to Heavy Cover Mode for slower, quieter presentations over thick mats.

The setup it likes

Pairs with a heavy frog-specific baitcasting rod, a 7:1 or faster baitcaster, and 50–65 lb braid for pulling fish clear of vegetation.
