Description
The Jumprize LALAPEN240 (ララペン240) is a 240mm, 135g floating diving pencil from Jumprize's ABS-resin LALAPEN Magnum series. It uses a quick-dive action, with the 240 tucking in its side-to-side slide and strengthening straight-line roll flash compared with the smaller LALAPEN200.
Developed for large-baitfish situations — mahi-mahi (dorado), saury and flying-fish patterns — and matched to large migratory gamefish in general. Jumprize recommends SPXH 5/0–6/0 treble hooks and its own Gorilla Ring #6 (or #6–#8) split rings.
Documented catches on the LALAPEN Magnum series include a 35kg hiramasa (yellowtail amberjack) in New Zealand, a 58kg kihada (yellowfin tuna) in Sagami Bay, and a 45kg shore GT in the Tokara Islands.
