Ocean Gate Aji (オーシャンゲート アジ) is Jackson's dedicated ajing rod series for horse mackerel (アジ), re-tuned from the original 2015 combined ajing/mebaru model with a revised blank for a better balance of lightness and sensitivity. Models use Fuji K-guide frames with Alconite rings for PE-line compatibility, Extra Fast action, and carbon fibre 98% / glass 2% / epoxy resin blanks.
- JOG-600XL-K ST AJ – 182cm/6ft, Extra Light power, lure 0.2-5g, 2lb line, 72g. A jig-head specialist for close-range fishing around harbour night-lights, with the most delicate tip in the series for short bites.
- JOG-604UL-K ST AJ – 193cm/6ft4in, Ultra Light power, lure 0.4-7g, 2.5lb line, 76g. The series' balanced standard model for jig-head fishing from harbours and breakwaters, extending to micro-plug work.

How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
