Description
GEKIDAKI SHAFT EXTRO (ゲキダキシャフトエクストロ) is the flexibility-focused rod in the GEKIDAKI SHAFT ikametal (squid metal jig) lineup. Its EXTRO full-solid carbon blank pairs suppleness with strength, joined to the series' super-flexible special solid tip to make faint bites clearly visible while resisting breakage from wrap-arounds.
Squid-metal models let the flexible blank absorb boat roll to hold the rig steady automatically, suiting quiet presentations in tough conditions while still allowing an aggressive hookset. OMO (heavy sinker) models use that same flex to cast heavy sinkers confidently over a wide area and ease strain on the wrists and arms during jigging. All guides are titanium-frame SiC rings in a spiral layout that cuts line tangles, tip-blank colouring is matched to fishing style for visibility, and the lineup uses a 2-piece grip-joint design throughout.

FAQ
What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?
JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.
What warranty or service do imported rods have?
There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.
Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?
It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
