Description

26 BRS is the third generation of Jackall's BRS — Bay・River・Surf — shore casting rod series, fully model-changed for current shore-salt fishing with an 11-model line-up spanning shore jigging, surf, egging, chin-ning and light-game rods that weren't in the previous generation. The SJ and SURF blanks were reinforced from the inner and outer layers for higher crush/twist rigidity without added weight, while the lighter LG-series and 84/86 models use cross-tape reinforcement at the tip to control tip-heaviness while boosting twist strength. Guides are Fuji stainless-frame SiC tops with Alconite rings, blanks are centre-cut 2-piece for portability, and grips use hard EVA for a durable, uniform surface.

This listing spans the following specs: S96M-SJ (9'6", Medium, jig max 60g), S100MH-SJ (10'0", Medium Heavy, jig max 80g), S98L/M-SJ (9'8", Light, plug max 40g / jig max 50g), S100ML/MH-SJ (10'0", ML/MH, plug max 50g / jig max 70g), S106M-SURF (10'6", Medium, lure max 40g), S84ML (8'4", Medium Light, lure max 25g / egi max #3.5), S56SUL-LG (5'6", Super Ultra Light, rig max 3g), S68L-LG (6'8", Light, lure max 10g) and S74ML-LG (7'4", Medium Light, lure max 14g).

FAQ

What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?

JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.

How do I read Japanese rod lengths?

Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.

One-piece or multi-piece for travel?

Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.

What warranty or service do imported rods have?

There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.

Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?

It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
