Description

Hishimo MADAI-TJ630B (part of Hishimo's Soldum TJ-MADAI series, aimed at マダイ / madai, red sea bream) is a deep-water tairaba rod developed with TANAJIG. Wide-bore guides resist clogging from jellyfish and small organisms common in deep areas, all-titanium guides improve bite transmission, and the PLS reel seat reduces strain on the angler's reel hand under deep-area loads.

This is the 6.3ft model in the two-length TJ-MADAI range, suited to higher fishing positions or swell conditions where reduced line slack helps cut down on missed fish. Stored length 183.5cm, titanium guides, jig weight 100–400g, PE line 0.6–1.2.

FAQ

What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?

JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.

How do I read Japanese rod lengths?

Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.

One-piece or multi-piece for travel?

Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.

What warranty or service do imported rods have?

There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.

Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?

It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
