Description
Hishimo ソルダム (SOLDUM) is Hishimo's core made-in-Japan carbon solid jigging rod family, cut from a 24t domestic full-carbon-solid blank for a sensitive tip and strong butt.
This listing stocks 8 variants across three SOLDUM sub-lines. The base SOLDUM 632 models (SOM632SXUL, SOM632SUL, SOM632BXUL, SOM632BUL) are 2-piece butt-joint, all-titanium-guide rods for tungsten jigs, tairaba and ika-metal, targeting squid, tai (sea bream), soi, kasago, mebaru, hirame (flounder) and other species, with enough butt strength to also handle an unexpected pelagic (aoumono) strike; 6.3ft, 141cm stored, 20–120g jigs, PE0.6–1.0. The SOLDUM TT models (SOMTTB602, SOMTTB632) are dedicated tairaba/tai-jigging rods cut to a 6:4 action with a supple tip for follow-up bites and a strong butt for tai-jig hooksets; 6.0–6.3ft, 20–100g jigs, PE0.6–1.0. The SOLDUM KIHADA TJ models (KIHADA-TJ586B, KIHADA-TJ606B) are a Hishimo x TANAJIG collaboration for kihada (yellowfin tuna) jigging with an all-titanium-guide full-solid blank, a large-reel PLS seat and a reinforced support-grip butt for two-handed fighting, also usable with electric reels; 5.8–6.0ft, jigs up to 600g, PE3–5.

FAQ
What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?
JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.
What warranty or service do imported rods have?
There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.
Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?
It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
