Hibuta73 Prop (飛豚73 Prop) is a topwater lure that entices strikes through surface wake, propeller sound and water splash. The sound produced by the propeller, tuned to grip water at the best angle, draws fish from a wide range.

It is especially effective when targeting kibire (yellowfin seabream), and hot summer daytime sessions are this lure's exclusive stage.

The propeller is tuned to grip the water at the best angle, throwing a strong wake, splash and prop sound on a straight retrieve that pulls fish from a wide area.

When to throw it

Its best window is hot summer daylight, particularly when targeting kibire (yellowfin seabream) around harbour structure, current lines and reef edges where fish are actively feeding on top.

How to work it

Fish it on a steady, unhurried retrieve so the propeller keeps turning and calling fish; add occasional pauses to let the commotion settle before working it on again.

The setup it likes

A 7-8ft ML topwater spinning rod, a 2500-3000 reel with 10-14lb braid or PE 0.8-1.0, and a 12-16lb fluorocarbon leader suits this size of prop bait.
