RUNBBIT Bone (ランビットボーンABS) is the Bone ABS colour series of Grassroots' RUNBBIT shallow crankbait: a 58mm, 9g floating crank diving to a maximum depth of approximately 1.5m, built in an opaque bone-coloured ABS body rather than the standard translucent finish. It shares the same pronounced wobble-and-roll action and circuit-board lip as the standard RUNBBIT, and comes rigged with a DECOY Y-F33F #6 treble hook. Target species: bass.

The swimming action

RUNBBIT runs on a pronounced wobble blended with a strong roll, tightening into a steady rolling motion as the retrieve slows. The circuit-board lip gives a nimble, high-response feel through the rod tip, so bites and bottom contact both come through clearly on the retrieve.

When to throw it

Built for shallow, high-pressure bass water: weed edges, laydowns and bank cover in the top 1.5-2.5m depending on model. It suits post-spawn and summer fishing when bass are holding tight to shallow cover and want a small, natural profile crank.

How to work it

A steady, moderate-speed retrieve keeps the wobble-roll tight and searching; slowing right down tightens it into a rolling crawl that draws bites from wary fish. Bump it off cover and pause briefly on contact to trigger a reaction strike.

The setup it likes

Fishes well on a 6'6"-7' ML-M baitcasting rod with a 6.3:1 reel, 12-14lb fluorocarbon or 30lb braid with a short fluorocarbon leader for cover work.
