Description
BRIST comodo(ブリスト コモド)is Fishman's big-bait and magnum-bait baitcasting rod line, designed for anglers casting oversized lures to seabass, bass, and offshore giant trevally. Blanks are 4-axis carbon with K-guide titanium and stainless guides (titanium tip), combining a soft-loading tip with a strong backbone so heavy lures can be worked without strain.
This listing stocks three lengths:
- 6.10XH — 208cm, 3-piece, 206g. Built for long-distance casting and precision pin-point placement with lures from 10g to 150g+. Line rating PE3-10.
- 7.5H — 229cm, 3-piece, 235g. Balances a supple tip for lighter presentations with backbone for heavier lures, lure weight 10-120g, with a shorter grip suited to wading. Line rating PE2-6. Includes a soft case.
- 8.3XXXXH — 253cm, 3-piece, 280g. Built for oversized, heavy lures up to 24oz (approx. 672g) to target large fish on magnum baits. Lure weight 168-672g. Line rating PE3-10.

FAQ
What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?
JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.
What warranty or service do imported rods have?
There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.
Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?
It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
