Evergreen Gimlet 2.5

The Gimlet (ギムレット) is Evergreen's standard light-game worm: a simple straight body with a sharply pointed, cone ("gimlet"/kiri) shaped tail and a waist notch at the base of the tail. The tapered tail responds to the slightest water movement, producing fine micro-vibrations that appeal to horse mackerel (aji) and rockfish (mebaru) across a wide range of rigs and retrieve speeds, from dead-slow to fast. The waist notch flexes easily on the bite, letting the whole worm be drawn into the target's mouth for a higher hook-up rate. Molded in Evergreen's original E.G.PDW-02 compound, chosen for resistance to tearing and hook slippage.

The 2.5-inch size uses a newly designed body to suit its longer length, adding a second waist notch at the body's centre so the extra length still gets sucked in cleanly on the bite. Its own softer, 2.5-inch-specific material lets even a slight current set off fine tail vibration and a supple undulation through the whole body. It suits large spots where a longer silhouette helps you get noticed, situations where the target is feeding on slim prey such as bristle worms, and low-activity conditions where a slow, soft-bodied presentation works best. The 2.5-inch size is also molded with an original flavour blended in to stimulate aji and mebaru appetite.
