Evergreen Clutch Hitter

Clutch Hitter is Morizo Shimizu's super shallow-running crankbait, built to work a target range of under 30 cm. It pairs a high-response, sharp, high-pitch wide wobble-roll action with a rear-positioned tungsten and stainless weight that also acts as a rattle, giving it long casting distance for covering wide areas. At 58 mm and 12.5 g, it's a floating bait that dives to 0-0.3 m.

It's built for skinny water: bass sitting just under the surface that won't quite commit to a topwater, bass scattered across wide weed flats, cover edges you need to cover within one turn of the handle, and rocky, snag-prone banks fished from shore. It starts swimming the instant it lands and holds its action from slow to fast retrieves, running just under the surface down to 30 cm without breaking the water.
