BLUE TREK (ブルートレック) is DSTYLE's bass rod line, built by company president and touring pro Daisuke Aoki around the performance he found genuinely necessary while covering tournaments and features across Japan's fields before moving his career to the US. Blanks use a nanomaterial blend of carbons with different elasticity, and the line-up spans finesse techniques such as no-sinker rigs, drop shots, neko rigs and jig heads through to heavier cover work, across both spinning and casting models.

The blank

A nanomaterial blend of carbons with differing elasticity gives the blank a blend of casting snap and forgiving flex, built by touring pro Daisuke Aoki around what he found necessary covering tournaments across Japan's fields.

What it's built for

Covers a wide span of bass water and technique, from finesse work around light cover through to heavier cover fishing, so the right model in the line-up suits most bank and boat situations through a season.

How it fishes

Handles no-sinker rigs, drop shot, neko rigs and jig heads on the lighter models, moving up to heavier cover techniques on the stiffer-power versions, each worked with a retrieve matched to that rig type.

The setup it likes

Pair spinning models with a 2000-2500 reel and 4-8 lb fluorocarbon, or casting models with a baitcasting reel and 10-16 lb fluorocarbon, sized to the specific model's power. Check the rod blank markings for the exact rating for the specific model before spooling up.
