Twin Pike Shorter DJ-80 (ツインパイクショーター DJ-80) is built from the acclaimed Twin Pike DJ-88 — which set the standard for light jigging assist hooks — keeping the same overall balance and strength but shortening the assist line to suit tungsten and other small jigs.

The shorter line makes it less likely to twist into an unwanted "shrimp" tangle when set at the rear, and running it alongside a standard Twin Pike allows fine adjustment to get the most out of a jig. It suits small-silhouette jigs for red sea bream (madai) as well as tungsten jigs, and general shore and offshore light jigging.
