Description
Micro Pike AS-08 (マイクロパイク AS-08) is a small jigging hook built for micro-jigging with light tackle and light jigs, covering a wide range of targets. A square-section shank with CF (Cubical Forged) processing boosts strength and contact area against the fish without spoiling a light jig's action, reducing hook-tears and lifting the catch rate.
It also performs well as an assist hook on tai-rubber (tai jig) rigs, carrying over the Pike line's proven hooking performance. The two stress-bearing curves are reinforced with flat-forging for extra shaft strength, the barb is set larger to reduce lost fish, and the hook is finished in corrosion-resistant tin plating with Aqua Block treatment.
Released in March 2020, finished in TIN (Aqua Block). The listed sizes here are #4 and #3; the full official lineup also includes #6.
