Description
PRESSO MX (プレッソ MX) is Daiwa's core high-performance area-trout rod, tuned by top tournament angler Wada Hiroki off the PRESSO LTD AGS platform for a taper anyone can fish well. It's the line's first rod to use a carbon monocoque rear grip, which Daiwa states improves both sensitivity and handling, paired with the same AIR SENSOR traditional reel seat used on PRESSO LTD AGS. X45 anti-twist carbon construction keeps power, sensitivity and control high through the cast, fight and land.
This listing is the 62UL+-E model, set up specifically for ester-line fishing: a delicate tip with a taut belly and flexible butt for confident hook-ups and landing, plus small-diameter guides for extra sensitivity and fewer line troubles. Length 1.88m, closed length 97cm, 66g, 1.2/6.9mm tip/butt diameter, rated for 0.4-3g lures on 1-3lb nylon line, 97% carbon content.

FAQ
What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?
JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.
What warranty or service do imported rods have?
There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.
Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?
It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
