Description
Abu Garcia OCEANFIELD TAIRUBBER (オーシャンフィールド タイラバ) is a tai-rubber rod line for offshore sea bream fishing, aimed at anglers from beginners to veterans. It carries a Fuji SiC top guide (the rest O-rings) and the Fuji KR guide concept to cut line tangling, plus Abu's X-carbon tape wrapping (45°/135° criss-cross) for added torque and twist resistance; versus the previous generation it is about 4.5% lighter on average with up to 10% more strength. Baitcasting models use a Fuji PLS reel seat, spinning models a Fuji IPS reel seat.
The OTRS-6112LS-60 is a spinning model that casts up to 60g, working shallow water to about 40m; vertically it handles 20-80g, with 60g easiest to fish, and its solid tip is built for automatic hook-sets. The OTRC-6102LS-80 is easiest vertically at 80g in relatively shallow water, and can be fished dotera-nagashi (drift) style up to 180g. The OTRC-6102MLS-100 is an all-round model easiest vertically at 100g across a wide range of areas, up to 200g dotera-nagashi, with a torque-rich blank for fighting big tai. The OTRC-6102MS-140 is easiest vertically at 140g for deep or fast-current areas, up to 300g dotera-nagashi, combining a soft bend with a torque-rich blank for big tai and blue-water gamefish.

FAQ
What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?
JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.
What warranty or service do imported rods have?
There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.
Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?
It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
