The design lets the hook sit near the centre of a long worm for a better hook-up rate, offsets the sinker from the worm's head so it falls at an angle and swims with a natural wiggle, and keeps the sinker on the outside\/underside of the worm for a stable, low-centre-of-gravity swim with fewer snags.
